Leila's Memory Box

Leila's box is long and thin, framed and sided in marbled pink & white art  glass.  The invitation to Leila's bat-mitzvah was delivered to the client in a brown mesh envelope with a silk flower glued to the mesh.  The lid has visually two sections - althought it was created as one piece. In the lower section, the invitation is sandwiched between 2 layers of thin clear glass.  In the upper section, a piece of the mesh envelope is sandwiched between glass.  The silk flower is threaded through thin wire that runs on the outside of the box, over the glass.

Leila's box opens from the side on a hinge.  The box is floored with mirror and is divided into two chambers.  The lid is protected from being opened too far by a wire decorated with pink, red and white beads.
